Updating your reading list 02 June 2021

Training sessions description

This year we are running two sessions. Both run multiple times - you can book using the links in the box below.

Getting started with reading lists

This session is designed to introduce you to Talis Aspire, and assumes no prior knowledge or experience of the system. It includes:

  • Time for you to try out Talis Aspire
  • An overview of the whole process
  • What you can expect from the Library and what we expect from you

You might also like to consider attending our ‘Updating your reading list’ session for further insights and good practice.

For this session, we recommend that you use the Chrome browser. You will need to add the extension or install a bookmarklet, following these instructions. Please do this BEFORE the session.

Updating your reading list

This session assumes that you have used Talis Aspire before. It includes:

  • Good practice and what makes a good reading list
  • A refresher on how to use Talis Aspire
  • What you can expect from the Library
  • The timeline for this year

If you would like more information on using Talis Aspire, please see our reading list guide or consider attending ‘Getting started with reading lists’ which allows time for practicing with adding items to reading lists.
