Although it is not possible to use the RefWorks Citation Management feature with RefWorks, it's possible to use RefWorks to store references and then export a BibTEX file to work in LaTEX. This will be a standalone file, and won't update automatically. When new references are added to RefWorks, you'll need to export the file again.
- In RefWorks, go the the folder with your references.
- Select the Share button at the top of the screen.
- From the dropdown, select Export references.
- Choose the format as BibTEX or BiBLaTEX.
- To generate a more useful citekey, tick authoryeartitle under ID Output.
- Save the generated
.bib
file in the same folder as your LaTEX file.
