Human Library

What is a Human Library?

A Human Library is an event designed to encourage conversations that build connections and break down boundaries. Like any library, there are books and borrowers, it’s just that the books are people with a story to share about their experiences with an aspect of their identity.

The first Human Library was held in Denmark in 2000 and the idea has since spread worldwide. If you are interested in finding out more, please see the official Human Library website.

UPDATE: Our first ever Digital Human Library is scheduled for Tuesday 10th November 2020, 1pm-4pm. If you would like to be a Human Book, or attend as a Reader, see the "Take Part" section for more information.
