Our Library Skills and Support Moodle page has a lot of help and support available to support you in accessing and using information. There are lots of videos, activities and interactive guides for you to discover. To find out more click on the links to each section below.
Discovering means learning how to search for and access useful information beyond your reading list. This section offers tools and tips to help you find reliable sources for your assignments, research, and future career.
Evaluating means knowing how to spot trustworthy information. In today’s world, it’s important to recognise fake news and misinformation, and find high-quality sources for your studies and future work. This section includes activities to help you judge how reliable different types of information are in different situations.
Referencing is more than just following a guide or using software. It’s about using information ethically and giving proper credit in your assignments, research, and future work. This section explains plagiarism, academic integrity, and how to reference correctly in your subject area—including how to use referencing tools.
Sharing is about understanding how we communicate and share information online. Knowing what, where, and how we share—along with the ethical and legal issues—can help you manage your digital content more responsibly.
