Reading Lists Online - Getting Started

Online guide to using the Reading Lists Online service.

Getting Started: Adding a Bookmark

Before you can start adding your references to Reading Lists Online, you need to install a bookmarklet tool on your browser.  The instructions vary depending on the internet browser you want to use.  You only have to install the bookmarklet tool once on your PC or your laptop.

Click on 'My Bookmarks' and then the 'Bookmark Installation Tutorial' link at the top right hand of the screen.  This will give you instructions for adding the bookmarlet button to your browser.  Usually, this is simply a matter of 'drag and drop' into your browser bookmarks bar.

NB - within the context of the Reading Lists Online system, 'bookmark' refers to an individual reading or resource that you select to add to your reading lists. Not to be confused with you browser's 'bookmarks' of your favourite webpages.

Below are videos to show you how to add the bookmarklet to Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome and Safari.
